In Francisco Segarra we approach a new challenge with the creation of an innovative concept in the hospitality industry.

Tiffin Concept by Francisco Segarra.

This project was born from the interest of the general manager of our vintage and industrial furniture firm of Francisco Segarra, towards the culture and traditions of India. Country frequently visited in his constant trips to the factory, where some furniture pieces are designed and produced.

Historic regions because commercial routes and great empires, its characterized by their gastronomy based on herbs and spices like black pepper, native from the Indian subcontinent and today consumed in the whole world.

The basic foods are elaborated with wheat and rice and eating at any time is usual and they are called Tiffin and are served in a Dabba. Original metal container composed by various containers that preserve the food hot.

All this has generated a peculiar industry of services where locals of the city of Bombay denominated Dabbawala, oversee the pickup of the just made food from the residence of workers, mainly outside of the city and are delivered in their workplace. Afterwards giving back the empty containers using a peculiar way of transporting it.

Tiffin Concept… the new creation of Francisco Segarra will bring us closer to the country of the second most populated country in the world with a new tableware collection, painted by hand ideal to serve it in events, conventions, restaurants.
